Ilan Block is a New Jersey-born artist who creates meaningful and unique digital portraits and art representing the entire range of Jewish experience. Raised on comic books, he began drawing at a young age. Yet it is not only his experience as an artist, but as a manual laborer, that has shaped his method and philosophy. Initially honing and refining his style using acrylic paints, he ultimately developed a mix of realistic and stylized expression through a unique digital technique. 

Stretching from rabbinical portraits to Israeli landscapes, Ilan’s paintings are holistic, with his backgrounds playing off their subjects and his subjects playing off of their backgrounds. His work is not only meticulously detailed, but also highly improvisational.

Ilan’s art has made a splash in the Jewish world, and his work has been featured in Mishpacha Magazine, Jewish Action Magazine, and Hamizrachi magazine.
